Description:
The bright and clear golden-yellow foliage throughout spring and summer of this very slow growing form of English oak is unequalled. Quercus robur Concordia is a rare tree of rounded habit, eventually reaching 10 m. At the ages of 10 years it reaches a height of 5m. It was originally raised in Van Geert's nursery at Ghent in 1843. Its cultivation in dappled light, or sun for just part of the day, is usually best but in good retentive soil it will flourish in full sun also. It is always slow growing but not difficult even over alkaline soils. Very cold hardy.
